My fellow retired and current officers-

I was reading the FOP Grand Lodge quarterly news letter. It had info on the Social Security Fairness

bill which will give us 100% of our social security payment.

The bill is H.R. 82. Rep (D) Michael McNulty was a co-sponsor on the bill since it was introduced in

2001. In fact McNulty is the chairman of the of the Social Security Subcommittee. He even discharged a

petition to have the bill moved to the floor for a vote because it was stuck in the committee.

McNulty now has the power to call for a vote in the subcommittee but hasn't In fact this year, for the

first time since 2001, he hasn't co-sponsored the bill. 23 members of the 41 in the full committee co-sponsor

the bill. Also 327 members of the House and 34 senators are co-sponsors.

Bottom line if the bill would be called for a vote it should past and we would g et 100% of the social

security payment owed to us.

This reminds mean of the battle we had with Rep Madigan over our 80% pension.

The Grand Lodge wants us to call or write Rep McNulty and ask him to schedule H.R. 82 for a vote this
